Is Your Content Share-Worthy?

Content is the most important factor in driving traffic to your website. Therefore, many experts say “content is the king”. A well-written SEO optimized content as part of perfectly executed SEO strategy is required to rank your website higher in search engine and driving traffic towards it. Generally, content should fulfill this criterion in order to successfully engage users.

  • Original: – You must create original content that should offer readers something new, rather than a rewritten piece of information that they have read multiple times already.
  • Surprising: – your content should have attention-grabbing elements in its, Make them surprise with your in-depth research, or grab their attention with attractive titles.
  • Newsworthy: – content does not actually need to be breaking news, but it should have elements be something that can catch the attention of readers.

Are people passionate about your content topic?

Your content should be developed around the topic of which readers has the interest. According to 17% of the people, they shared content because they feel it might be of other`s interest. One thing you should note that people don’t care about any things like self-promotion of the company if content looks like an advertisement, or sounds like  brand promotion, then you should not expect them to take a huge interest in it.

Social media is full of advertisements and messages in which people are trying to push their brand message. However, it might only be effective if it`s delivered through offering some knowledge, or entertainment to the users.

Does your content hit the right emotional buttons?

Another important aspect of share-worthy content is it should be able to hit the right emotions of the readers. According to the research, nearly 13% of people said they shared some form of content on social media to make their friends feel some things about matter raised through that content.  Generally, people share the content on social media after they feel some emotions related that content and want their friends to go through the same emotional experience. The research further reveals that there is a strong correlation between viral contents and positive emotions.

Top ten viral positive emotions are amusement, interest, surprise, happiness, delight, pleasure, joy, Hope, affection, and excitement.

Is your content useful?

Another element of share-worthy content is its usefulness. You must ask your self-does it fulfill any purpose by solving the problem of customers?  Remember one thing, you must not push your advertising message too hard just create something teachable and try to focus on solving the problem of customers through information. A share-worthy content should be on the topic that follows the latest trends it may be the recent industry news that can press the right emotional buttons. It may be the interesting industry news, or you are writing about some topic that already took the interest of the people. Although, you may share historical news but it should be according to trends that people have already shown their interest and wanted to explore more about it.

Do you know your Target Audience?

It is important that you know your target audience. Otherwise, you will end up trying selling “comb to a bald person “and it will not work. Content is one of the most effective ways to influence your target audience and make a good first impression. But how you can do it if you don’t even know who they are and what their demographics are. You must know whether you are trying to convince executives or focusing on mid-level employees. If know your target audience, you will know their problems too, and with all the information you can create better more effective content.

Is It Engaging and customer-focused?

One thing you must make sure, your tone and your style of writing should be engaging, and customer focused. You must avoid using complex terminologies that your reader may feel difficult to understand. Write it in an interesting way like you are talking to him directly. It should not let readers bore and should be able to retain their interest.

A share-worthy content has some different features that make it viral and popular; Generally, your content must be original, surprising, and newsworthy. Moreover, it should be able to press the right emotional buttons with a particular focus on offering some solution to the target audience.
